Website Theft and Copyright Protection: My Fight for BlogGood (Part 1)

Imagine: your website, your content, your personal photos, and your name suddenly end up in the hands of strangers. This is exactly what happened to me — attackers stole my old domain bloggood.(ru), completely copying articles, images, and photos of me and my wife.

I took every possible step to protect my authorship and rights:

  • Contacted the hosting provider Hetzner, providing a full set of evidence: WordPress files, database, screenshots of publications, and social media posts where I originally published articles and instructional materials on WordPress and digital security.

  • Filed an official DMCA complaint with Google, detailing that the entire site was stolen and some of my personal photos were partially covered with emojis to disguise the theft.

  • Demonstrated that the legitimate content is now hosted on a new domain: bloggood.top, where I moved all articles and photos.

However… the hosting provider’s response was extremely formal. All replies amounted to generic responses and references to the courts, with no real help in removing the stolen content. In practice, attempts to protect the site through the hosting provider were useless.

Follow my next steps — the fight for authorship continues, and the path to restoring the website is already underway.
